Former Appeal Court President Dalhatu Adamu Dies At 65

Former acting President of Court of Appeal,
Justice Dalhatu Adamu, has died. He died
yesterday November 7th at the Ibrahim
Badamasi Babaginda Specialist Hospital in
Minna, Niger State. He was 65 years old.
Adamu was appointed as the acting
President, Court of Appeal in August 2011
following the controversy that led to the exit
of his predecessor, Justice Isah Ayo Salami.
He is survived by two wives and nine
children. He has since been buried according
to Islamic rites. May his soul rest in peace
Amen.

He acted as President of the Court of Appeal
for about 15 months, retiring in 2012 and was
replaced by Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa.
Adamu began his legal journey in 1989 when
he was appointed High Court Judge of Niger
State. In 1993, he was promoted to the higher
bench as a Justice of Court of Appeal.
