THE Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, yesterday, commenced removal of properties impeding the Right of Way, RoW, of ongoing construction works on the reinforced concrete dual carriage flyover bridge at Abule Egba junction of the state. It will be recalled that the ministry had earlier agreed with the owners/occupiers of buildings during a consultative stakeholders’ forum, held earlier in September, 20th 2016, to remove structures likely to impede the RoW and construction work for the project.

Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Wasiu Anifowoshe, through the Head Public Affairs, Mr. Shina Odunuga, who disclosed this noted that statutory notices were served on the owners occupiers Anifowoshe said: “It was noticed that owners had, earlier in the day, commenced voluntary removal of the property before the officials moved in. The Ministry allowed this to enable owners to conduct a controlled removal with minimum loss of valuables.”
